Important Notice for Shinkansen Trains During the New Year’s Holidays

Nozomi trains operate with all seats reserved.
気が付けば2025年の日数も数えるぐらいとなりました。
JRから通知がでていますが新幹線「のぞみ」が全席指定席運航となり、自由席設定はありません。
※「ひかり」、「こだま」、「さくら」は自由席設定はあります。
期間：2025年12月26日（金）～2026年1月4日（日）
帰省や旅行で新幹線を利用される方はご注意ください。

Before we knew it, the days until 2025 were numbered.
JR has announced that all Nozomi Shinkansen trains will now operate with reserved seats; there will be no unreserved seats.
*Unreserved seats will be available on Hikari, Kodama, and Sakura trains.
Period: Friday, December 26, 2025 – Sunday, January 4, 2026
Please be aware of this if you are traveling by Shinkansen to visit family or other travel destinations.
All seats on Nozomi trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen are reserved seats during the major peak periods.
